Dedicated Servers.

The high performance and cost-effective compute solution for your cloud and database needs.

Macquarie Government IC2 Cloud

What are dedicated servers?

Dedicated servers are customised servers, software and hardware provided by, managed and hosted by Macquarie Government for exclusive rental and use by a client. They are provisioned for a customers exclusive use and offer unique benefits over other compute solutions.

Benefits of Macquarie Government dedicated servers.

Greater resource control and suitability.

Macquarie Government offer a range of different servers with varying CPU and memory options. For optimal performance, different workloads require different compute and networking resources. Agencies can choose optimal resource allocation, contention and network segmentation based on their workload, throughput and network security requirements.

High performance compute and storage options.

With a choice of CPU and memory configurations, a dedicated server with a faster CPU can be chosen for demanding cloud workloads, or more memory can be selected for faster database processing. To manage demanding application needs or long-term archival data, Macquarie Government provides a variety of storage capabilities that can be connected to your dedicated servers ranging from 700 – 8000 IOPS as well as object storage.

Security without compromise.

Require a performance database or dense-cloud environment with security commensurate with your data’s sensitivity? We’ve got you covered. Macquarie Government’s dedicated servers are housed within either an unclassified or ASD-certified Official DLM or protected physical data enclave. Not only are your dedicated servers secure, they’re supported by over 180 NV1 cleared engineers.

Lower licensing cost.

Database licensing costs increase if more CPUs are required to support databases. Macquarie Government dedicated servers offer various CPU speeds and memory options so agencies can choose the right blend of CPUs and memory for their workloads. This minimises the number of CPUs required and keeps licensing costs low. Macquarie Government’s dedicated servers also allow agencies to utilise their existing licensing arrangements for applications, operating systems and databases. This further minimises licensing costs. The customers can utilise the same networking infrastructure and architecture when connecting to our dedicated servers. This lowers costs, simplifies the solution and supplier management. The close proximity between existing services and Macquarie Government’s dedicated servers, latency is virtually zero.
